Storms, Sick Baby and Reding #2

Hello Hump Wednes- Day!
FEW! What a crazy few days it has been! Between the storms and my child (who is sick), there isn't any sleeping for The Redings! Good news, we did find out that I am due on January 8, 2012! We did get to see our precious baby and see him moving around and his little heart beating. Such an amazing experience that I can share with my husband. It makes it that much more real! Love already.....but we are just beginning!
I can say for sure that I love pickles dipped in ranch, along with cottage and string cheese! Yummy!  I know, weird combos! I'm trying my hardest NOT to drink soda, but man it is so hard for a water hater! I'm beyond excited but I worry so much. HUH. I'm sure we all have our worries, tired days and just where we "don't" feel good. I'm having some of "those" days. I have major headaches that kill me everyday! I can't stand them! From the time I get up out of bed- I can't even eat sometimes because my head hurts so bad. I have a small window of "no" headaches and early afternoon- BAM! There it is.. back to get me again. It just makes me tired! But I'm still excited!
On the downside, my sweet baby girl is sick. She started Sunday- after her nap she got up and was running a slight fever. Mind you my child sleeps HOT. Not normal HOT. So I just kept an eye on her. We went grocery shopping and came home, cooked and cleaned. She was acting "normal" but still really clingy to Mommy. I gave her a bath and she was excited about school- she wanted to see her BFF Ava. :-) So sweet. About 11:30 or so she was up and came into our bedroom complaining that her body hurt. Unusual for Paiton. I took her temp and 103!!! She was on FIRE! It scared Tim and I both. We scrambled in our out-of-state-midnight mind and found some meds. As I processed what was going on- we took her clothes off and put wet washcloths on her. She refused a bath and I wasn't going to argue. Anyway- we got her calmed down and cooled down a bit. So I didn't take her to school because of course I don't want to get any kiddos sick. So we stayed home. No fever but tiny spots starting showing up on her. I though, "No biggie." Just chigger bits or something to that effect. WRONG. Tim took her in to the doc yesterday and the verdict is Foot and Mouth Disease. I mean this stuff is not cool. She must have picked it up at gymnastics or somewhere with a ton of kids. There is NO cure- NO meds- No nothing. It has to run it course SUCK.

The doc said no contact for 7 days and these "sores" can remain on her for 14 days. Paiton is NEVER sick! I feel so bad because I just want to lay my head down and snooze. Its like seriously- snap your fingers and I'm out! But from the time I got home from work from when I left yesterday morning- it was 100x worse. I never felt so bad for my baby. Anyway- being up all night for the last couple of days resulted in sleeping until 2pm today! Still has sores on her mouth and body but I hope she gets better soon. Breaks my heart that she is sick and she is missing her End of The Year party at school with all her friends. AND BTW- my child sleeps like an alligator- trashes, kicks, pulls hair, you name it! She doesn't sleep with us but she was sick and I could leave my baby :-(   HUH. I wish this stuff gone!

Much Love to All,
   Linda

Yes, Paiton was drinking like a dog out of a CLEAN dish Saturday at her MeMe's!

Yup, You guess it! MeMe gave her a bone too!
