Well- it has been ages since I have even thought about blogging! We have been so busy trying to get everything ready for the baby and Christmas! My OH my has time flown by!
Lets get a little update in for everyone who wishes to read about our marvelous lives. Paiton is excelling in school and learning so much these days- even how to talk back to Mommy and Daddy! Paiton enjoys gymnastics and she loves her teacher there. Plusshe is learning some coordination. I’m hoping to put that little tute in dance soon. She LOVES to dance!! She is so smart! That child must be the sweetest, most caring, considerate child that I have ever met. And I’m not just saying that because she is my ownbut she is so sweet. She just started a few months ago to randomly say that she loves you. We will be sitting watching TV and she will say, “I love you Mommy.” Or we could be cleaning up the kitchen from dinner and Paiton will be cleaning up her room or inthe bath and she will yell, “ DADDY!!! I love you.” Another heart melting saying, "Mommy! Daddy! You make my heart so happy." So, So sweet. It melts my heart every time. She is adjusting to becoming a Big Sister. Things haven’t been the easiest for her but she is a huge helper and we are making sure we include her in EVERYTHING.She got to pick out her own special outfit for the baby and wrap it for Christmas and put it under the tree. So exciting! On another note, Paiton is so excited for Christmas! She is loving every part of the Season. She loves the lights, trees, decorations, music and giving gifts and even Christmas Pajamas! You name it and she is every part into it. Its so cute and fun. Gezzz….I love that little girl! I’m excited to see how much she grows and how much she learns next year!
So we have finally got the baby’s room put together. I lack a few things, but I’m sure all in time I will acquire what I need. I wish I had done a few things different with Paiton. Like not putting her name on the $80 diaper bag that I could havereused! OR putting her name on EVERY blanket that she owned. So I have to get something’s and there is some that we just needed to get. Like I still haven’t got a baby bathtub. But that can wait…right?! Or another diaper bag…I’m such a slacker. I’m gettingso nervous and excited all in one. BUT… I still have the heartburn, backache and just the tiredness to remind me that I have a precious jewel that we will soon be holding. And I know it is all worth it but I’m over being pregnant! I’m ready to have this littlegirl!
Since I can’t make my mind up on ANYTHING.. .and I will stress that I mean ANYTHING…. We have successfully for the time being changed the baby’s name. Her name will be (as of this week) Madilyn Michael Reding. I have always loved Madilyn but Iwas never crazy about the spelling of Made- Line. So I changed it to what I wanted. Well partly because I still have to get the input of Tim. He still loves Ryleigh and don’t get me wrong, I loved the name too but it was too boyish with Michael. She needed something a little more girlie. So it was either Madilyn (Madilin) or Addison. Of course I like Madilin and Tim likes Addison. But I let him choose the spelling of her name and as of last night 12-12-11 we decided on Madilyn Michael Reding. Maddi for short.YAY! I was terrified she was going to be nameless up until I had to leave the hospital!
So we are on the downward slope of 2011. I still can’t believe it is December and we are just shy of 11 days until Christmas. Less then 4 weeks until we get to hold our precious baby girl. This has gone so fast I can’t even wrap my mind aroundit sometimes. We have got pregnant, moved, lost our dog and loved ones to name a few things this year. Such a huge year for the Redings. Paiton learned to ride a bike, spell lots of words and many other milestones. I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a very safe and Happy New Year! Enjoy this precious time with your families!
Love,
The Redings
Tim, Paiton, Madilyn and Linda
